This design aims to explore and resolve programmatic and functional problems found in hybrid buildings in the dense urban environment and to understand the crucial role of structure and services in the design process. This is by designing a high rise mixed use building in the heart of Auckland. The building will accommodate various functions dynamically and creatively while strategically interacting with the surrounding urban environment. The building will need to communicate with its surrounding with the right structure, technology and associated services.
